It is one of the most important outcomes of a poor psychosocial work environment.<\/p>\n<p>Work-related stress is the second most frequently reported work-related health problem in Europe \u2014 after musculoskeletal disorders. Around half of workers consider it to be common in their workplace.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>50\u201360% of all lost working days can be attributed to work-related stress.<\/li>\n<li>The same poll showed that around 4 in 10 workers think that stress is not handled well in their workplace.<\/li>\n<li>Typically, stress-related absences tend to be longer than those arising from other causes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The good news is that psychosocial risks can be prevented and manage.<\/p>\n<p><em>Source: European Agency for Safety and Health at Work.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>Protective factors against stress<\/strong><\/span>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/prevencion.umh.es\/en\/informacion-en-prl\/estres-laboral\/estres-y-deporte\/\" target=\"_blank\">Get involved when possible in a sport or other physical activity.
